Hair Regimen

People ask me all the time what i use on my hair so i wanted to share:

So my hair regimen has been simplified because I don’t have the patience to do all that I was doing in the beginning. Plus my hair is longer than it was so I usually wear little to no maintenance styles. You don’t have to cut your hair you can just continue to get regular trims try to wear your hair in styles that don’t require a lot of heat such as roller sets or rods or buns. I don’t put heat on my hair, the only time I do is when I get my ends trimmed which is about 3-4 times a year, but even then I put a heat protectant on my hair such as grape seed oil or a silicone based heat protectant. I use the following products they are all natural some I purchase online and some in store.

Conditioner/Shampoo:

· I also use Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I purchase these products from Target they are inexpensive..You can’t go wrong with these products they are all natural and they have a ton of different variations. You can just read the labels and see which one fits your hair best. ( I use the thickening line of their products)

Leave In Conditioners
· Karen’s Body Beautiful Sweet Ambrosia: I purchased this from Target in Hampton they didn’t get the line everywhere but this is a very good product. It is on the high end of cost but it is worth it. http://shop.karensbodybeautiful.com/product-p/1000.htm

Hair Masks:
· Camille Rose Naturals Blue Algae Renew Deep Conditioner: This is the most amazing deep conditioner I have ever purchased this is something I will continue to buy because it works. Sometimes I shampoo my hair and then put this on for 10-15 min rinse out and put on my leave in and style you don’t have to recondition your hair. It is $20.00 I purchased this one from Target in Hampton as well. http://camillerosenaturals.mybigcommerce.com/algae-deep-conditioning-mask/

Protein Treatments:

· Aubrey Organics GPB Conditioner: I purchased this across the street at the health foods store. The Vitamin Shop has it too. I use this once a month to treat my curls then I just shampoo and condition as normal. I put this on dry hair and let it sit for 15 min. I basically follow the directions on the bottle it is excellent! http://www.aubrey-organics.com/Category/121_1/Normal_Hair.aspx

Oils/Moisturizers
· I use different oils like sweet almond oil and Jamaican black castor oil
· I also use http://www.qhemetbiologics.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AHTB and http://www.qhemetbiologics.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AOHC they are very hydrating butters

To protect my ends I use:
· http://www.carolsdaughter.com/hair/monoi_repairing_split_end_sealer.html it is $25 but it is worth it and it last a LONG time I brought this in December and I have almost a half of a bottle and I use it on my little sisters hair. It helps with breakage and sealing your ends

That’s all I use on my hair. I don’t use it all at once I rotate my products

Word for today is: PERSEVERANCE

Steady persistence in adhering to a course of action, a belief, or a purpose. Continued steady belief or efforts, withstanding discouragement or difficulty.

Heb 10:36 says, " You need to continue, so that when you have done what God wants, you will receive what he has promised. (message bible)

The new life we can have in Jesus is not something that we can ever earn. It is the free gift of God to all who trust in Jesus. Our part is to maintain our *faith, even when life is hard. We must always try to do what God wants. Then we shall receive what God has promised.

God is faithful and we must remain faithful. He never said life was not going to be hard. That is why He gives us a book full of His promises to help us through any trial that may come. He will never give us too much to handle because everything He gives us, He knows we can handle it. He is our Creator and He created us in His image. And He knows everything little thing about us and even some of the things we don't know. And to top it off...HE LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY!! So how can you not trust Him?

I have told you all many times and every time I see you, that you all have a divine purpose. This is processing time. Processing time does not always feel good because God is removing and repairing. And when He removes He always replace it with something that will help us fulfill His purpose and to allow others to see who He is thru us. The areas that He repairs are areas that are suppose to be there but life may have damaged it to the point that we may see it as being useless. Nothing God makes is useless...it is all GOOD. The one thing you may think is not worthy is probably the main thing that will be used the most.

Don't allow life or situations to make you feel you can't go any further. It is not your job to figure it out...you just need to have faith to know you are in the right place at the right time and God will do the rest. You are all emerging leaders and you all will be great examples of what perseverance looks like!!

The Word of The Day

The word for today is: APPRECIATION

Thankfulness or gratitude for something someone has done for you. The recogntion and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something.

Proverbs 100:4 says, " Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
...
When I think about where I was and where I am now...I am so grateful! When things around me seems crazy and overwhelming...God reminds me of where I was and just like He got me thur that...He shall and will get me thru this. And it gives me hope and gives me the peace to hold on a little longer. God will never leave us or forsake us and anything He promises has to come to true because He is not a liar of His word.

No matter what is going on ...just hold on a little while longer...because you ARE that MUCH closer to your breakthrough. Just look back and see what He brought you out of before and just remember this situation and any situations that comes along....YOUR GOD IS SO MUCH BIGGER AND ABLE TO HANDLE IT!! AND TELL SOMEBODY WHAT AN AWESOME GOD YOU SERVE!!!! HE DID IT FOR ME AND HE WILL DO IT FOR YOU!!!

Understanding Gifts vs. Fruit - Pt 2

Video:
As Christians, we aren't defined by the gifts God has given us, but rather the Fruits of the Spirit we display. Joyce explains the difference between the two and what scripture says about the character traits of every Believer.

Honor Him First

by Joyce Meyer - posted April 01, 2013

But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. —1 John 2:27

This verse isn’t suggesting you don’t need anyone to teach you the Word. Otherwise God wouldn’t appoint some to teach in the body of Christ. But it does say if you are in Christ you have an anointing that abides on the inside of you to guide and direct your life.

Sometimes you give more consideration to what people tell you than to what God has said. You might occasionally ask somebody for their wisdom, but if you hear from God and then start asking everybody else what they think, you are honoring people’s opinions above the Word of God. You need to say, “God, no matter what anybody else says, no matter what my own plan is, if You say something to me, I am going to honor You above anything else.”

When You Feel Like Giving Up

“All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.” (Hebrews 11:39-40, NLT)

It’s not easy to live by faith. We live in a broken world. The weather doesn’t work right. Our bodies don’t work right. Our relationships don’t work right.

When God kicked Adam out of heaven, He told Adam that life would be hard. And it is. There’s a cosmic battle for your life going on inside of you and outside of you. You battle with your own sinful nature. You also battle against Satan himself, who wants nothing more than to “steal, kill and destroy.”
And sometimes it just gets to us. We just want to give up.

But in Hebrews 11 God urges us to hang on because God hasn’t forgotten us and will fulfill His promises one day. He promises to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). He promises to take away our tears (Revelation 7). And He gives us multiple other promises throughout His Word.

Hebrews 11 mentions a variety of biblical heroes who demonstrated faith in God’s promises—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Gideon, Samson and others. Though they endured many difficulties, they kept going in their spiritual journeys.

Then Hebrews 11:39-40 says, “All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised. For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us.” (NLT)

1 Corinthians 1:27

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
—1 Corinthians 1:27

Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Cross is such an offensive symbol when viewed in its most basic and raw form. For God to become human flesh and live among us is unbelievable enough. For God to be subject to the vagaries and rigors of mortality and human needs is unthinkable. For God to endure the indignities and inhumanities of the Cross is preposterous. But, that is the Gospel. What appears to be foolish, weak, and offensive has the power to re-make us and inspire us to unparalleled faith. When we come to the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus, we come to the impossible which was accomplished by God's grace for us and in us. Only God would bring us salvation in such a way.
My Prayer...
Holy and gracious Father, I know that the Cross may be silly to some people. I know that many people who wear the Cross as a symbol don't honor it. But Father, I confess that Jesus' willingness to go to the Cross for me is powerfully convicting and amazingly reassuring. Thank you for this gift of love and sacrifice of grace. In Jesus' name. Amen.
