2012

Well 2012 is officially on its last leg, yet for many the race has just begun... This year I have learned a number of things among them is the fact that when God has given you an assignment, you need to stick to it. When your focus is off, your whole mindset is off... 2013 for me is going to be focused on staying consistent and focused! No matter what may arise I will keep my mind on the things of GOD!

As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience. Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely. And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us. Slaves must always obey their masters and do their best to please them. They must not talk back or steal, but must show themselves to be entirely trustworthy and good. Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way. For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say. (Titus 2:1-15 NLT)

Answer: The true meaning of Christmas is love. John 3:16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.

The real Christmas story is the story of God's becoming a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ. Why did God do such a thing? Because He loves us! Why was Christmas necessary? Because we needed a Savior! Why does God love us so much? Because He is love (1 John 4:8). Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of gratitude for what God did for us, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshipping Him, and being especially conscious of the poor and less fortunate.

The true meaning of Christmas is love. God loved His own and provided a way—the only Way—for us to spend eternity with Him. He gave His only Son to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the price in full, and we are free from condemnation when we accept that free gift of love. "But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

As we mature some things just don't matter as much... The girl that whispers about you or the man in the office that doesn't say Good Morning... We learn as mature adults to rise above the negativity and pray for those whom seek to cause harm to our spirits.. God has purposed you on this Earth to do something.. To effect and affect change in this world.. What are you doing about it? Are you living with purpose on purpose or just living....We are days away from 2013 and as I reflect on 2012 I have identified some major roadblocks that could deter me from my success in 2013.. One of them being ME! We often times get in our own way... Our thoughts begin to run our lives and we end up right where we started.. On the couch looking at others Live Their Dream" 2012 was about planning.. 2013 is about ACTION

The L ord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the L ord . He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the L ord by sailing to Tarshish. But the L ord hurled a powerful wind over the sea, causing a violent storm that threatened to break the ship apart. Fearing for their lives, the desperate sailors shouted to their gods for help and threw the cargo overboard to lighten the ship. But all this time Jonah was sound asleep down in the hold. So the captain went down after him. “How can you sleep at a time like this?” he shouted. “Get up and pray to your god! Maybe he will pay attention to us and spare our lives.” Then the crew cast lots to see which of them had offended the gods and caused the terrible storm. When they did this, the lots identified Jonah as the culprit. “Why has this awful storm come down on us?” they demanded. “Who are you? What is your line of work? What country are you from? What is your nationality?” Jonah answered, “I am a Hebrew, and I worship the L ord , the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land.” The sailors were terrified when they heard this, for he had already told them he was running away from the L ord . “Oh, why did you do it?” they groaned. And since the storm was getting worse all the time, they asked him, “What should we do to you to stop this storm?” “Throw me into the sea,” Jonah said, “and it will become calm again. I know that this terrible storm is all my fault.” Instead, the sailors rowed even harder to get the ship to the land. But the stormy sea was too violent for them, and they couldn’t make it. Then they cried out to the L ord , Jonah’s God. “O L ord ,” they pleaded, “don’t make us die for this man’s sin. And don’t hold us responsible for his death. O L ord , you have sent this storm upon him for your own good reasons.” Then the sailors picked Jonah up and threw him into the raging sea, and the storm stopped at once! The sailors were awestruck by the L ord ’s great power, and they offered him a sacrifice and vowed to serve him. Now the L ord had arranged for a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.

Powerful Book!!

This is a must read for all women! I read this book before I got married and it prepared me to serve God. I know you might have thought I was going to say my husband. Lol Actually we must learn to serve God first before we can get into any type of relationship. God wants all of you not just the parts you want him to have (ie finances, future husband, better job, etc.) This book humbled me, and made me do a lot of self examination. I pray that it will show you as well how to serve God more or better!

Morning Prayer

Thank you Lord for waking me up to this blessed day. I thank you for all the things that you have blessed me with that people usually take for granted, like having a roof over my head, a car to drive, food and money to take care of what I need. Lord help me with any bad habits I might have. I'm done living life with my bad habits. I know that they can be holding me back from the very blessings you want me to receive. I make a choice right now to take the authority that you have given me over temptations that want to consume me. I will follow Your Holy Spirit into a new and better life of great habits that you would want me to have. Help me strive everyday to be the person that you would like me to be. I want to live life as righteous as possible. I know that you have greater life for me!!! I know I can receive that if I'm obedient to you and sacrifice things for you... Thank you for the love and compassion that you have displayed in my life. I love you Lord!!!

What's important to you?

Today as I was watching Pastor Furtick he asked the question.."if what your doing isn't for God... Why are you doing it?" I then examined my day to day and I realized there was a lot of things I was doing that left me very empty.. So my challenge to you is to find out what things you are currently doing in your day that leave you empty and yearning for something more... I knw my commitment is to do more uplifting and encouraging things tht will take me to the next level my prayer is that you will do the same..
